Australia is also attempting to fine any website who links to the list or mentions the names of the sites (ooops). I like our OZ friends so here you go, hopefully we don’t get IP banned.

March 27, 12:23am – Apparently the banned AU sites are being blamed on the Russian mob, according to Gambling911. Oh the lies these government officials like to spout.
March 20, 3:09am – I added a few more sites that I did not see on the list including Ultimatebet, Betfair, Bodog, Mansion, Goldenpalace, Vegaspalms and Gamblingclub.

March 19, 10:22pm - It is reported that the implementation of this blacklist could slow down the internet by 75% for everyone in Australia!

March 19, 9:57pm - Conroy confirmed that the government would spend over $45 million on a machine to enforce the blacklist. The blacklist is compiled by the public. That means people must complain about the websites for them to be added to the list, which is why we such a strange list of poker sites above. Everything is being kept secret and as we know there are always certain people that find EVERYTHING offensive even if it may not be illegal.

Senator Conroy of Australia has come out and said this list was false. On the same note, it seems wikileaks has been IP banned from Australia citizens.

You have poker sites which are considered to be on a “Network” such as CD Poker being part of iPoker and yet the main site of iPoker which is TitanPoker is not on the list. Same goes for Absolutepoker and the fact that Ultimatebet is not on the list. There was also only one casino mentioned on the list.
